Aromas of red fruit such as cherries and strawberries. On the palate, it is fruity with subtle notes of spices and red peppers. Medium-structured wine and round tannins. Organic, sustainable.
21 years ago, the Viola family were pioneers; they were the first to begin a wine-growing project in the Patagonian steppe, in Neuquén Province. An originally deserted and unproductive land today is a region that is present in most books about world viticulture. They led the conquest of that austere and wild landscape that is now consolidated Terroir, which gives rise to many of the great wines of Patagonia. Named for the indigenous phrase for a defiance of logic, Comahue displays outstanding quality.
