Marzemino is grape variety found all around Lake Garda, in northern Italy.  Leathery on the nose as well as on the palate, this wine gives way to a supple softness with earthy wild mushroom notes.  An expressive, versatile wine that pairs well with pork or chicken, vegetable or polenta dishes, lasagna, pizza, cheeses, or desserts. Well-known for the mention made about this grape in the opera "Don Giovanni" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
