A family estate spanning five generations, the “Clos de la Hurvaniere” lies in the heart of the Pays d’Auge. Planted on flint clay covered with fine, silty soil, the Groult’s 65 acres of orchards are a mix of traditional "high-stem" apple trees and "half-stem" apple trees, which yield 30 varieties of apples, which are either sweet, bitter-sweet or acidic.

Jean-Roger Groult, the fifth generation, (dating back to Pierre Groult 1830-1918), continues the family tradition of making calvados through the double distillation over a wood fire and other traditional methods, and is pleased to offer you these great Calvados Pays d'Auge.

The Reserve 3 ANS has been voted World's Best Calvados in 2014 & 2016. It is an outstanding young calvados with pale color and pronounced apple aroma, appreciated for its great freshness. Groult's 3 years old Calvados is a natural choice for cocktails, but don't let that put one off of sipping it neat. It has the bright, crisp acidity of fresh apple flesh, along with woodsy tannins and just a hint of vanilla.
